There is No Guarantee That The Money Will Go To Fix Roads.
Dear Governor Jerry Brown,
I urge you to repeal the Car Tax legislation, Senate Bill 1.
We do not want another gasoline increase or an increase in our vehicle registration fees.
Californians already pay some of the highest gasoline prices in the nation and increasing the gas tax to 42 cents a gallon is too much.
Increasing the vehicle registration fee up to $175 per year, per car, is absurd.
The Car Tax doesn’t guarantee that the money will go toward for road repair.
This Car Tax hurts families, single parents, and children.
The Car Tax is unfair to the poor, elderly and those on fixed income.
The Car Tax hurts all Californians who are just struggling to make it through the work week.
This Car Tax is coming at a time when we can least afford it.
Please repeal the Car Tax and Senate Bill 1.
